Yay!!

Wow! It's the weekend finally! I've been getting 4 hours of sleep a night, I never got over jet lag after coming here, and it's been a year! So I tend to not be able to sleep at night. And when I am tired I can't play... I have no problem reading though, oddly enough! That's why I don't really play during the week... plus the time zones make me primarily matched with people from England, and I think I've made me feelings about THEM clear! (and yeah, I dated a guy from England for a while, so I can tell you- what you think of them in games... it's all true IRL as well...) Also the connection here sucks so bad when I DO play with US players I lag REALLY BADLY!

But it's the weekend! I'm putting my troubles behind me for a few days, and focusing on my gamerscore this weekend! I need 3k gamer score to break 20k! I doubt I can do it in a weekend, but I'll be pulling out all the games I stopped in the middle of to start a different game, and trying to focus long enough to get even a 50% completion for them!

There's a bunch of games I have a 0 score on, but I just couldn't stand playing them long enough to get even one achievement- ie mass effect, bullet witch, dmmm: elements... games that made me sleepy before even putting out- you know what I'm talking about! But for every one of those, there are 3 that I enjoyed and just lost interest in the minute it was no longer in my xbox.

Oh gosh, I haven't logged into psu in so long... I'm still paying the monthly fee though, so maybe I'll do that at some point and check out what's new. It took me a year to cancel FFXI after I stopped playing that. I was always like "I MIGHT go back to it!" (What? I might!) I'm waiting for the maximum attack G event next week to decide my PSU future- I really loved it when it first came out, but after a while, all the updates are just reskins of old material, old runs, even the events are cut and pastes of other events. So I guess I'll see.

2 games I'll be going back to FOR SURE this weekend are DW6 and DWGundam. All the talking about them that went on in my last blog entry made me want to play them again! And I finally looked up the achievements for DW6... unlocking that sexy beast of a man, Lu Bu is my goal for now!

OK, I'll close with 2 games I'd love to see for 360, and my 2 most anticipated games that are coming out this year! (After GTA 4 I'm stopping myself from buying any new games until 4th quarter 2008 in anticipation for the plethora of money makers that will be thrust upon us!)

Games I want:

A Harvest Moon for 360! Yes, GS for farming!! How cool would that be? Ok, maybe not cool, but fun and addicting!

And as always, I'd love a scrabble game for xbl arcade. I'm such a nerd, I know, but that's my favorite board game and my whole family refuses to play with me. My brothers used to but I started making words for them and then I was just competing with myself... which isn't fun.

Games I'm looking forward to!

Fallout 3... I LOVED the first 2, and when I heard Bethesda was making the third I got really excited. Oblivion is one of my top 10 fave games, I am expecting great things from Fallout 3!

Fable 2... What can I say? Fable is a blatantly obvious Fallout copy, at least I've always thought so. And it's a well done copy. The diary entries on XBL have done their job and gotten me appropriately psyched! And if anyone wants me to come to their place and kill their spouses, just add me to their FL when the game comes out and I'll be happy to! (ummm that's in game, btw...)

If you ever get the time and energy, try loading up Mass Effect again and stick with it until you can get out of the space station that takes up like the first third of the game. Both the story and action become much more interesting after that.

I too am really excited about Fallout 3 and Fable 2.
Fallout was one of my favouritest PC games ever, it will be awesome to see what they can do with a shiny, new 360 version considering how good Oblivion was.
Fable was just a neat game overall, with tons of familiar RPG elements but overall done & presented in such a way that it didn't feel like boring rehash.

That's funny, Rev, I actually did that last night. I put Mass Effect in, and I have to say, making characters is really fun, so I did it again last night. I actually made her look a lot like me, which I maintain takes SKILLZ! But I gave her the lip scar, and I don't have THAT... which is a shame cause it looks bad ass. I now have 1 achievement and I'll be playing it today- I will trust in you, and get past that part... I heard such great things about it, it's hard to believe I didn't like it!

Fun fact about it- Mass Effect and Bioshock came out AROUND the same time- I was looking forward to Mass Effect, cause it was listed as an RPG and I didn't think I'd like Bioshock, cause it was listed as a shooter... Wow, that was backwards! I LOVE BIOSHOCK! It was so much fun! And I loved the story, and all the would you kindlys... ahhh great game. But I played like- 10 minutes in Mass Effect and moved on lol.

LOL... you too? I was talking to this guy the other day, and HE had a really awesome time share as well! He said he'll let me take it off his hands for practically nothing. He'll be losing money! Isn't that sweet?
