So I watched an Inside XBOX download from the Japanese marketplace, called the RPG premiere Report. It was a lot about Tales of Vesperia, but since I don't understand Japanese, I had to look up more info. This is what I got:

Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 Report
06.10.08 - 8:16 AM

Microsoft has held its Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event in downtown Tokyo earlier today. At the event, it was announced that tri-Ace's highly anticipated next-gen RPG Star Ocean 4 will come to Xbox 360 sometime next year.

Another tri-Ace-developed title, the original RPG Infinite Undiscovery will be available in Japan on September 11th. Releases in North America and Europe will follow shortly thereafter.

Square Enix's multiplatform RPG The Last Remnant will go on sale simultaneously around the globe (in Japan, North America and Europe) this winter. The Xbox 360 version of the Unreal Engine 3-powered game apparently will be released earlier than the PlayStation 3 version.

Last but not least, Bandai Namco's Tales of Vesperia is set to go on sale in Japan on August 7th. Alongside the game, Microsoft will release a Tales of Vesperia premium pack including the game, an Xbox 360 unit, a special Tales of Vesperia face plate and a replica of the game's scenario book. The bundle will retail for 35,910 yen ($340.51 USD). Furthermore, later this month, a Tales of Vesperia demo will be available for download on Xbox Live.

Another article gives slightly more info:

Today, Microsoft announced new RPGs on the Xbox 360 at their Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008 event in Tokyo's Shibuya district. Takashi Sensui, general manager of the Home and Entertainment Division at Microsoft was on hand to make the announcements, including the news that Microsoft is bringing the Western RPGs Mass Effect and Fable 2 to Japan.

Square Enix for its part announced that Infinite Undiscovery will release exclusively on the Xbox 360 in the U.S. on September 2, 2008. The previously announced The Last Remnant will launch late in 2008 on Xbox 360, with a PS3 version to follow. Finally, Star Ocean: The Last Hope will release on Xbox 360 in 2009, with a release on PS3 a possibility as well.

Namco Bandai also announced that Tales of Vesperia will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360. A "Xbox 360 Tales of Vesperia Premium Pack" bundle will release in Japan, and the game will release in the U.S. in August 2008. Namco Bandai also announced that a free demo of Tales of Vesperia will release in June 2008 over Xbox Live Marketplace.

This is all nothing but good news for someone like me who LOOOVES rpgs. The last couple months of this year promise to be exceptionally kick ass months for gaming, and hopefully the 360 will start putting out more games that close the "fun" gap that exists between it and the ps2. I say ps2, because if you notice, even the games that are COMING to the ps3 will be delayed. It's definitely a pay off to RPG addicts like me who have stuck through the hard, dry years.

I'm not sure if the Tales of Vesperia demo will be out on the US or Japanese marketplace in June, the tone of the story makes it sound like the US, however it's unclear why they would announce that to a Japanese crowd. I guess all we can do it have our Japanese silver accounts ready, and then we're prepared either way.

It's a little sad that Star Ocean is so far in the future, but anything worth having is worth waiting for, so I'll bide my time. There's a lot to keep me occupied in the mean time. Add these titles to my frenzy over Fable 2 (which does have LIVE multiplayer, 1LOVE) and Fallout 3, and you can see why I'm thinking about robbing a bank. Or at least mugging some little old ladies at the ATM. Every little bit helps, right?

RPGFTW!!!!! I don't know how interested I am in last remnant, but the rest of the lineup will be on my shelf guaranteed!! Infinite Undiscovery and Star ocean look rediculously awesome!!

You know how I feel about F2, Raine!!! For me, I think this years end of the year lineup exceeds last year's by a longshot!!

It's about time that the 360 delivers on the RPG front! If you count Mass Effect as an RPG (which I do) then that and Oblivion are really the only RPGs that I could not put down, and I played them like the Dragon Warriors, and chronotrigger, and FF series!! Hours and hours of gametime and I need me some next-gen RPG love!!

I agree about SO4, but I've learned patience by waiting for Fable for so long!!

I'm not that big into RPG's, well I am but not a fan of the turn based combat style. I have been waiting for Fable 2 to come out ever since I played the first one. It's to my understand that it is part of a 3 game series so it means that we have one more to look forward to after Fable 2.

I'll have to cash in for a lllooonnnggg vacation when it comes out....Big Grin

I say soda too. I hate it when people say Pop. I'm from jersey and we all say soda, no matter what flavor. People here in Washington say Pop as well. It drives me crazy, lol.

It's cool man, I made a thread asking everyone on the site if I can get some help. I just love how I help out everyone on the site when I can but I don't get anything in return, not that I really expect it, but if i needed help it would be good to get some back...lol

No biggy though, hit me up sometime and we can get the rest of the stranglehold ach..idk which ones you havent got or if you got them all now, if you lack any let me know, i need to get them all and i will be getting the DLC today

lol I'd help you if I could!!!! Maybe we should work out some kind of trade system for it! Like, "I want help in xxyxyxyx, I'm willing to help others in xxyxyxyxy, I'm available to play these days at these times."

For people who are really serious about getting help, I mean.

If Evol helps me with all the insane Gears levels, IDK what amounts of time I'd end up owing him!!!

The last time I ran through gears on insane, It took about 9 hrs. spread over two days! If anybody wants Gamerscore help, I'm about to start giving away some of my older games that I have 1000 points on! 2k games, Madden games, Bionicle! Check out my played games and I might be willing to send them out! They are just taking up space here, and I won't get ANY trade in value for these!

I was never much into RPG's...The only ones I can really get into are MASS EFFECT and FABLE...I tried real hard to get into Lost Oddisey or however you spell it. I actually really wanted to also because it had a great story and the graphics were unreal!
I guess the only thing that turns me off of those games are the turn based fighting style. Thats why I couldn't get into Final Fantasy despite the fact of having everything L.O. has, at least I think they usually have a great story behind them.
I just hope I can get into FALLOUT3 with them having the combination of turn based fighting style and real time fighting.
